Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by an ethnically mixed family. Madekwe is English but her father is Nigerian. She was born in the South London Council Estate, and then attended The Brit School aged 14. It was the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned an acting BA. As a student at the academy, she appeared in numerous stage productions including King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe got her start in acting through a short film called Storm Damage. Over the past few years she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Her breakthrough role came in 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was in the role of Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. Her popularity has led her to be cast in Elisha in a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. Later, she appeared in the six-episode series Trexx & Flipside playing the character of Ollie. Madekwe played Bambi as Bambi in the ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a part of the 2008 Comedy film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People. Performance credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009, with the drama The Beautiful Life. The series aired only two episodes before it was cancelled on The CW. In February of 2011 she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe was a regular on the ABC drama series Revenge during two seasons. In May 2013 that she was set to be leaving the series following a guest episode in the very first series of the 3rd. On the show Salem the actress played Tituba between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe married her long-time love, Iddo. Both have appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played as a couple in Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in a big family. She was born to Roy and Patty Leggat. She joined her parents, Roy and Patty along with her older brothers: Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's brothers, who are all athletic, played baseball in summers and played hockey during winter. Ashley could not walk but danced. As a result, when she turned 2 when she was two, she began to learn about Baby Ballet. Ashley discovered her love for dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley performed in competitive tap, jazz and ballet in high divisions. Ashley was awarded the best individualist in all the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance to name a few.
