Amber Benson bio
Amber Benson, an American producer and singer, also writes. Most famously, she is known for her character Tara Maclay on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and she has also produced and starred in her own movies Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Additionally, she was Bride in Kiss the Bride movie. Benson was the younger child from Edward Benson and Diane Benson. Benson was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 1977. Her younger sister is Danielle Benson, who works as an artist. Benson's father was Jewish while her mother was Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. She grew up going to an Reform community in Alabama. Benson started appearing in different films like The Killing Jar. Benson also appeared on TV series such as Morganville The Series. While behind the lens Benson utilized her talents as a writer to write her own Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010 she directed Drones. Buffy, after spending the time and effort to find them, says there are around 1800 Slayers worldwide, with 500 of them working with the Scooby Gang. Slayers are now Slayers once they are mature.
