Tawny Kitaen

Julie Ellen "Tawny", Kitaen, was an American model, actress and media celebrity. She lived from May 7, 1961 until May 7 2021. Her acting career on television began with Malibu (1983) as well as California Girls (1985). She was also in comedies The Perils of Gwendoline and Bachelor Party (both 1984), as well as the horror film Witchboard (1986). Kitaen received a lot of attention for her roles in a variety of rock music videos of heavy metal. Some of them include Ratt's "Back for More" (1984) and Whitesnake's "Still of the Night", "Is This Love" and "Here I Go Again" (all 1987).In the 2000s, Kitaen transitioned into appearing on reality television series, including The Surreal Life (2006) and Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008) The latter of which focused on Kitaen's problems with substance abuse. She was born Julie Kitaen in San Diego, California in 1961, the eldest of three children born to Linda Kitaen (nee Taylor) she was a housewife, and once a beauty pageant contestant, as well as Terry Kitaen, an employee of a neon signage company. Kitaen was born to a Russian-Jewish father and an Scottish mother. Kitaen was educated Jewish. In the year of 12 she began to utilize the nickname "Tawny", which she invented on her own initiative. [6] As a child she was diagnosed with dyslexia, which eventually led her to drop out of Mission Bay High School. 7 years old, she was at the age of 14, with backstage passes after a Peter Frampton concert at Balboa Stadium,[8] she witnessed the privileged treatment given to Frampton's partner Penny and was determined to get the same for herself.
